Younju's 5 fan fiction links

Awareness ( Japanese animation : Kuroko no Basuke)

Summary :
This fan fiction is about Kuroko's past and feelings towards the people around him. The writer wrote the whole story in Kuroko's point of view and invited the readers to travel through Kuroko's past till the future. Although Kuroko's thoughts and feelings were not shown on the original story, the writer managed to make it up with its own imagination.

I actually enjoyed this fan fiction as the writer explained Kuroko's life story very deeply. The story starts from the very start when he was a little boy, how his parents treated him, how he met Aomine and the other Teiko basketball team members, and the method of how his personality changed towards people around him. The writer's idea of imagining Kuroko's life history and his character in depth was very interesting to read.
However I thought that the Kuroko's past story was too short compared to the future story. It would have been much better if the writer wrote Kuroko's past story more in depth and explain how his relationship went between members other than Aomine until the last basketball match of Teiko.

Gospel of Deception (Durarara)

Summary:
The main intension of the story is similar to the fan fiction "Awareness". The writer wrote about Izaya's past and childhood by one's own imagination.

I found this fan fiction very interesting as it described Izaya's character effectively and in detail. I liked how the writer wrote how Izaya became the character itself in the original story. The author expressed Izaya as a very psychotic character, but there is also a reason how he created that kind of personality. The author effectively described why Izaya's acts were un-readable and I thought that this fan-fiction holds a very interesting story.

Under The Surface (Durarara)

Summary:
Izaya wakes up in a coffin with nothing but a flashlight and a cell phone. He doesn’t know where he is or how much air he has left. All he knows is that he’s running out of time and there’s only one person who can save him.

The story is based on ‘Buried’, a movie that was aired in 2010. It follows Izaya’s efforts to get himself out of a coffin, with the help of Shizuo. Despite keeping the main story-line similar to that of Buried’s, the Author managed to make Izaya’s and Shizuo’s situations quite believable to happen in Durarara!! world. Also, there were some minor errors. The title should be Under ‘the’ Surface. Shizuo’s conducts are a bit hard to believe in a couple of scenes (but still acceptable if you count Shizuo’s reasons). The time limit Izaya has is too long for a person buried inside a coffin, but the Author has put the reasons in Chapter 6’s A/N. The ending, where everything should close down, leaves us hanging. But there’s an epilog to make up for that.
