Holiday Cheer
By MidnightRosePrincess
Summary: ''Holiday Cheer'' written by MidnightRosePrincess is about Cindy Lou going up the mountain to see The Grinch after he has reunited with the people of Whoville. The Grinch is still sad and Cindy Lou still has not grown into her nose. Cindy listens to The Grinch wallow in sadness and they talk about various problems.
Review by Sam Franklin
I found Holiday Cheer to be an interesting read. It does seem that is comes from a desire to add one last piece of sadness to the story before we are finally given the comfort of a happy one. What keeps it afloat more than anything else is the references to the original story
E.g The mail room incident, Cindy Lou not having grown into her nose.
Because the relationship between The Grinch and Cindy Lou is the key in The Grinch it is the obvious choice to have them both the centre of this story, but that did make the story seem less exciting. It makes me feel that in the long run these two characters are somewhat messed up and if Cindy Lou isn't careful in how much she interacts with still such a tortured soul as the Grinch she might grow up with more problems than him.
I feel I am the wrong audience for this kind of story as well, as I would have preferred The Grinch dealing Hash Cookies with Max around Whoville and inventing his own holiday that lasted until Christmas arrived, but this is just me. ''Holiday Cheer'' seems for people who love to sit and read about how sad some people are after a huge revelation and celebration.
I'm Different
Written by Fragmented Mind
Summary: ''I'm Different'' written by Fragmented Mind goes over the end of the film A.I (Artificial Intelligence) one more time. It is very simplistic and takes no left turns, just a more in depth look of how the character David was actually thinking.

I enjoyed this little story it seemed to me to be a burst of energy that says the emotions of the character of David in A.I.
This is a great choice as it is a very underrated masterpiece and this fanfiction is obviously written by somebody who loved the film and appreciated it for what it was. The story does not have any suprises to it. But because it was not trying to it works completely. I feel fragmented mind was trying to just make a moment of warm energy and put the story in reading version.
Fragmented mind did note that he wrote the story on the spot, so not much work went into it. I guess the best way to look at ''I'm Different'' is to see it as a fan tribute to something that moved him.
Mr. Hoopers Funeral
Written by ArceusGPG
Summary: Mr. Hoopers Funeral written by ArceusGPG is about a funeral set in Seseame Street with Mr. Hooper having died. It tells the story with most of the main characters shedding tears while still maintaining their inner characters

I enjoyed this fanfiction very much. The choice to end it on something open ended to seems like the artist behind this has a desire to activate audiences imagination and here everbody elses point of view in one place. The story might still have worked if it said something like ''I killed him, I had to'' which is what I thought. But our minds working is something that I found inspiring.
The line in it, ''He had wished for his funeral to be closed-casket, mostly for the younger audience'' is without a doubt my favourite line I have read so far in any fanfiction, because it holds the dynamic of the show and implies children are watching this right now on an episode of Seseame Street.
The desire to bring such tradgedy to a childrens show is done with a great touch of class. Yet the only problem is asking us literally to put our answer of what we think the letter says broke the energy for me. But it's not specifically in the fanfiction, more of an artists note.
The Simpsons Go To Toronto
Written By: husna420
Summary: The Simpsons go to Toronto is about Bart Simpson who needs his report card signed right before the family goes to Toronto. The family cannot go to the science centre like Lisa wanted so they go somewhere else.
Reviewed By Sam Franklin
I found this story to be very pointless, there is no connection as to why bart getting his report card signed links with the story which I felt help it back. Alot of things the characters say seem very unlikely or have been said once in an episode as a joke. All the characters play as they actually are in the show and it goes nowhere. To me husna420 has an english problem so there were alot of mistakes to be found and the way they were talking did not flow well, I say this because I don't ever think anyone has ever thought of the way Bart talks as exclamations. These differences had no purpose and it would have been nice to read a fanfiction with more excitement to it, because this just feels like the worst episode of all time.
Miss Piggy Finds Out About Muppet Central
Written by miss kermie
Summary: Miss Piggy Finds Out About Muppet Central is about the muppets on the blogsphere reading stories and gossip from various bloggers which makes them upset and causes anger and controversey.
Review by Sam Franklin
Reading this was interesting as it takes a classic show that came in a time before the blogsphere was around. And to marry these two elements I found to be very refreshing, relevant and nostalgiac. It gives us a fresh look at the blogsphere through the eyes we will never have, as they are more naive and earnest than our own and we ourselves are not famous like the muppets.
We remove ourselves from the characters because we do not feel the same way about the blogsphere, especially with entertainment shows and celebrities, however the story still keeps us engaged with what they are doing because the story carries a sense of humour like the show did; Miss Piggy doing a Karate Chop for example. It also shows how much time people can waste on the blogsphere when they could be doing better things and are generally smarter and more important. Well Done!
